My name is Rebecca Gawthorne (aka “Nourish Naturally”) and I’m an Accredited Practising Dietitian, Accredited Nutritionist and a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
I love food and despite four years of studying food and nutrition at University, publishing research on health, and helping thousands of clients with their eating, it never ceases to amaze me how important healthy, nourishing food is to our bodies.
Food physically becomes you! It makes up every cell in your body – your muscles, hair, skin, heart. We need to nourish our bodies with healthy, real, wholesome foods to ensure our bodies function healthily, to feel energetic and live the life we were created to.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
I hold a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours I) from the University of Wollongong. I received First Class Honours for my research conducted at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, which has been published internationally.
I commenced working as “The Flying Dietitian”, travelling each fortnight throughout rural NSW to help Indigenous communities with their nutrition.
Whilst fulfilling this role, I also established my private dietetic practice in Sydney, where I worked one-on-one with clients to improve their health through food, nutrition and healthy lifestyle changes. I had a particular interest in chronic disease management, mindful eating, healthy weight management and healthy eating.
I ran this practice for five years, during which I established my Dietetic presence online and started my instagram and blog, where I now work full time. Click here for my services offered.
